  1. Arsenal have the biggest history, club has always been challenging for the very top even if there were shady periods. Arsenal is an institute, Chelsea is the same class as clubs like City, PSG who built everything to become successful.

  2. West Ham are a much bigger club than Crystal Palace in every metric that you can think of: history, trophies won, number of cup finals reached, years in top-flight, seasons in Europe (Palace have never even been in Europe!), famous ex-players, revenue generated…

Then there’s the embarrassing comparison between the size of the club’s fan-bases. West Ham’s fan-base is ridiculously larger than Palace’s.

When Palace are in the Championship; they have crowds of about 14k whereas West Ham used to sell-out Upton Park most weeks down there and we get 62,500 at matches nowadays.

In short, I can’t believe that this even needs to be pointed out! It’s embarrassing, really.

Palace are the same sort of level as Fulham. West Ham are miles bigger than either of these clubs; but some way off the likes of Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea (only since the late-90s onwards), of course.
