Saudi Pro League is reportedly developing an all-star team that would feature Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and many of football’s biggest names.
An all-star event is very famous in America where the best players in sports like Basketball and Baseball come together and face each other.
NBA is frequently been cashing out from their all-star events every year. Now, the Saudi Pro League is planning to do the same.
According to El Mundo, the Saudi Pro League already has the names they want in their league next season.
These European stars will then help develop a super team aka an all-star team.
It’s been heavily reported that Saudi Pro League winners Al Ittihad are set to launch a bid for Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema.
A number of football royalties, at the end of their career, will also find a place at the top tier of Eastern football. Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Luka Modric, and Sergio Ramos are in the plan.
Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba’s contracts were terminated by Barcelona because they couldn’t manage their big salaries. This can be enough to persuade the two Barca legends to join Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia also wants Luka Modric, who is contracted with Madrid till June 2023. It is reported that the player wants to stay in Europe but there is no clear response from Real Madrid.
Sergio Ramos on the other hand has denied rumors of his exit from Europe but the former Madrid captain is yet to sign a new contract with the Parisian. His teammate Lionel Messi is discovering a similar fate. Apart from Al-Hilal and Inter Miami, no European club has been able to support his expenses.
All these speculations point to the obvious and make the report from El Mundo even more understandable.
