Lionel Messi will end ties with his current club Paris Saint Germain as they don’t have the finances nor a confident vision to keep the World Cup winner.
Britain media outlet Mirror reports that PSG is no longer interested in offering Messi any latest privilege as the club finds ways for ‘recruiting young French players’.
The outlet also reports that Spanish giant Barcelona is confident that they will sign the World Cup winner this summer as they have planned a bumper offer which includes selling a number of their key players in order to bring down player wages.
Messi joined the French club after Barcelona left him due to their FFP issues. Since arriving at Parc des Princes in 2021, Lionel Messi has helped PSG win numerous trophies. His splendid goalscoring form will lead the club to win the Ligue 1 title quite early this year.
But both Messi nor PSG don’t see a future together. We all know why Lionel Messi was brought in. To make Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s dream come true of winning the Champions League while also bringing massive sponsorship to secure PSGs future plans.
Lionel Messi couldn’t win the Champions League but he has certainly won a little trophy called the World Cup which has definitely brought some finance to the French capital.
Now once his contract with PSG ends, the Argentine will either find a new venture or continue the one he paused a couple of years back. Apart from Barcelona, Messi can choose the USA or Saudi Arabia as Inter Miami and Al Hilal have prepared and offered a deal of their own to the 7-time Ballon d’Or winner.
