Real Madrid line up three long-term REPLACEMENTS for Karim Benzema

May 2, 2023

Real Madrid is planning for life without the evergreen Karim Benzema, as they know he will not play football throughout his life.

The Frenchman is like a fine wine that gets better as it ages and has been in superb form for them in this campaign. He netted three hattricks last month and is chasing Robert Lewandowski for the top scorer in Spain’s top flight gong.

However, Madrid recognises the Frenchman will eventually retire and has identified at least three players who will replace him and hand them long-term value.

Fichajes.net reveals Los Blancos will sign at least one of Victor Osimhen of Napoli, Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Thuram of Borussia Monchengladbach.

Thuram would be a free agent in the summer and represents great value for money, but he is not a number nine and instead plays in different positions in the front-three.

Osimhen is the top scorer in Serie A and could lead Napoli to win their first league crown since 1990 and has been in superb form in the last few seasons.

Hojlund is only in his first season on the books of Atalanta and has been one of the best attackers in European football as he shines for club and country.

It remains unclear how much Madrid is willing to spend, but one sure thing is that a new striker will play second fiddle to Benzema for at least one season.
