Real Madrid is set to offload an Arsenal target following reports of a lack of Professionalism

May 20, 2023

Real Madrid has transfer-listed Ferland Mendy following reports of a lack of professionalism as he fails to meet expectations at the Bernabeu.

Mendy moved to Madrid from Lyon in 2019 and has enjoyed a trophy-laden spell at the club as they continue to enjoy the prestige of being Europe’s top club.

Mendy is wanted by Arsenal, who need reinforcements ahead of their return to the Champions League next season and would be happy with the latest update,

Reports from Spain say Madrid president Florentino Perez is unhappy with the Frenchman who joined them under Zinedine Zidane, and they are prepared to offload him.

Mendy has played just a few minutes in 26 matches for them this season and would also be eager to leave so that he can play often and probably win back a place in the French national team.

Arsenal need new men to make their team stronger, and Mendy has experience in the Champions League, having won the last one with Madrid.

Although Los Blancos want him to leave, they will also want top dollar from his departure and will ask the Gunners to pay a lot of money before they release him.

The most important thing would be for him to get game time and Arsenal can offer him that even though they have three other left-backs in their squad.
