Brazilian winger Raphinha showed his support for Vinicius Jr. during Barcelona’s La Liga game last night against Real Valladolid.
When the Barcelona star was substituted during the game, he had a message on his shirt under the jersey, showing support for his Brazilian counterpart.
“As long as the color of the skin is more important than the brightness of the eyes, there will be war,” Raphinha’s message for Vinicius Junior read.
The Barcelona winger showed it to the world after leaving the pitch against Real Valladolid.
Vinicius Junior had earlier endured humiliating racial taunts from Valencia supporters, nearly leaving the pitch in tears.
Fans have responded in a similar manner to a Real Madrid forward’s play before. Clearly, the Brazilian is the main target of racism in football today.
