May 7, 2023

Paris Saint Germain has beaten 19th-spot Troyes in a comfortable battle as Kylian Mbappe, Vitinha, and Fabian Ruiz get on the scoresheet. Fans of the PSG club went for their absent superstar Lionel Messi as they trolled him online.

A Messi-less Paris Saint Germain came into this fixture demanding a win to strengthen their title hopes as well as assuring that the club stands strong amid the controversy involving Lionel Messi.

Their young starlet Kylian Mbappe was quick to boss proceedings as the 24-year-old went for goal within the first ten minutes. The lead was enough for PSG to go full throttle in the rest of the match as they gave Troyes very little chance of gaining momentum.

In the 59th minute of the match, PSG midfielder Vitinha put PSG up another goal diminishing Troyes’s hopes to get back into the game.

However Troyes fought back, an effort from Xavier Chavalerin did put Troyes back into the game at 2-1 in the 83rd minute but 3 minutes later Fabian Ruiz gave PSG their 3rd goal of the night and ended the competition.

Fans of the club took the opportunity as they were quick to react on Twitter where they mocked Lionel Messi for acting like he is bigger than the club.

“Messi doesn’t play and psg win”

“Lmao no certain guy to hold them back and they win comfortably”

“They play better without messi”

“Guess who didn’t play today”

“No pessi yes win”

“Notice how they won without pessi?”

Paris Saint Germain is en route to win another Ligue 1 title. While the club will be steady in the domestic competitions, European glory might seem pretty distant as they are on the verge of losing their star forwards Lionel Messi and Neymar.
