PSG Offered Rashford £400,000-a-week, Man United About to Ramp Up Contract Talks

March 28, 2023

It was not long ago when football pundits were in favor of Marcus Rashford leaving Manchester United. One of their own. But all it took Eric Ten Hag was a couple of months with the English striker and he is now having the form of his life.

Bagging 27 goals in 44 matches this season in contrast to just 5 in the previous. Marcus Rashford has become Man United’s go-to goalscorer, scoring in almost every match since the World Cup Qatar.

The red devil claims it’s not his physicality that has had an upgrade, it’s his mental strength and stability.

Since the shocking switch in his form, Marcus Rashford is being watched by some of Europe’s top clubs.

The Athletic has reported that a meeting between PSG and Rashford’s team did take place during the World Cup and the club offered the red devil an attractive salary. Marcus Rashford and his team rejected the £400,000-a-week from PSG but the tricky thing is that Rashford isn’t in a hurry to sign a new deal with United.

During the World Cup in Qatar, it was reported that PSG is interested in signing the Premier League striker. When asked, PSG president Nasir Al Khalifi was full of praise for the Englishmen.

He told Sky Sports News journalist Kaveh Solhekol,

“He is another who is really amazing. And to have Rashford for free, every club would run after him”.

He added: ‘We’re not hiding it, we have spoken before. The moment was not good for both sides. Maybe summer? Why not. If he’s a free agent, we can talk to him directly. We’re not going to talk to him now. Let him focus on the World Cup and then after in January hopefully, we’ll talk to him,

It is quite evident that the Manchester United forward is testing the waters at this point. He still has 15 months left on his contract with United having the option to extend his stay for another year.
