Following PSG’s home loss to Lorient on Sunday, superstars Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe have received poor ratings.
On matchday 33 of the Ligue 1 season in 2022–23, Christophe Galtier’s team suffered a discouraging 3–1 loss to Lorient at the Parc des Princes. They now only hold a five-point lead over second-placed Marseille in the standings following their sixth league defeat of the season.
Messi and Mbappe were assigned the duty of directing PSG’s assault in the absence of Neymar Jr. After Enzo Le Fee gave the visitors the lead in the first minute, Mbappe tied the score for PSG in the 29th minute, but he appeared rather lost in the final 45 minutes. A tenacious Lorient back line isolated and neutralized Messi in the meanwhile.
