Philippe Coutinho:

In January 2018, Coutinho signed for Barcelona for a club record reportedly worth  €160 million. He was world’s second most expensive player at the time.

For Barcelona, the Brazilian has scored 21 goals and provided 11 assists in his 71 appearances – over the course of two seasons. So far, The Brazilian player maker has won 2 LaLiga titles with Barcelona. He was sent on loan to Bayern Munich at the start of 2019-20 campaign, but he struggled to establish himself at the Allianz arena. The loan deal also had an option to buy the player for  €120 million, but the German champions did not opt to exercise the deal.

Coutinho at Bayern Munich:

Philippe Coutinho joined Bayern Munich on a season long loan deal at the start of 2019-2020 season. In that season, the Brazilian play maker scored 8 goals and assisted 6 times in 23 appearances for the German champions.

The Brazilian also scored twice against his current club Barcelona in the quarter final of UEFA Champions League as a Bayern player. The irony is definitely there.

During his spell at Bayern Munich, Coutinho won the trebel; including UEFA Champions League, The Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal cup. These are his achievements with Bayern Munich in his only loan season with them.

Return to Camp Nou:

Philippe Coutinho returned to Barcelona after winning Champions League with Bayern Munich. Barcelona boss, Ronald Koeman has made it clear that the Brazilian is a part of his plans for the 2020-21 season.
