Mbappe wants this Spurs target at PSG!

March 14, 2023

Paris Saint Germain talisman Kylian Mbappe wants the highly rated Spanish center-back Pau Torres to play for PSG this summer.

With a disappointing early departure from the Champions League in the round of 16, The Parisians transfer office seems busy already with speculations of arrivals and departures.

Veteran Spanish defender Sergio Ramos despite showcasing a commendable performance for the French champions is expected to leave in the summer on a free transfer to make way for the defender from Villareal. Another reason is the high salary of the ex-Real Madrid man which can prompt PSG to release him to reduce their wage bill to meet financial fair play rules.

Tottenham Hotspur is rumored to have been active in talks with Villareal to land Torres. An offer from a Big 6 English giant headed by Antonio Conte is an attractive package as the defender fits well with the dynamics at White Hart Lane.

Desire to play in the premier league most likely persuades a player to move to England but when Kylian Mbappe personally wants someone, that will prompt Luis Campos to break Torres’s release clause, at €60 million, which won’t be a problem for the Parisians. Such a situation will be difficult for Pau Torres to say no to.

Manchester United has renewed the fight to sign the 26-year-old this summer alongside big names like Bayern Munich. The rebuilding English side, with whom Pau was heavily linked last summer, later signed Lisandro Martinez, re-erecting the defense from the dead partnering with Rafale Varane, making United the dreaded fortress again.   United might face a deficit in its defense with Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelöf expected to depart in the summer.
