Manchester United are looking to sign ‘THE NEXT CRISTIANO RONALDO’ for £89 Million

March 11, 2023

Manchester United are in advanced talks with super-agent Jorge Mendes to sign a striker who has been dubbed as the next Cristiano Ronaldo.

Erik Ten Hag will be looking to sign a striker during the summer transfer window after he has been short of attacking options throughout this season. On loan Weghorst is unlikely to be kept on a permanent basis.

Manchester United are looking at a few options for the summer transfer window. The main priority will be England captain Harry Kane. However, the striker will not be easy to negotiate for and he is currently carrying a hefty price tag of over £100 million.

Another option will be Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, with Manchester United heavily linked to the Nigerian striker. Osimhen has also recently expressed his desire to play in the Premier League. The striker is also expected to break the bank, with Napoli expecting in excess of £89 million for him.

Manchester United to sign ‘The next Cristiano Ronaldo’

According to Portuguese news outlet Correio da Manha. Manchester United are in negotiations with Jorge Mendes to sign Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos.

The striker had a breakout in the World Cup in Qatar for Portugal, where he replaced Cristiano Ronaldo successfully in the starting lineup. He started the game against Switzerland and went on to score a hat-trick.

Goncalo Ramos is also the top scorer in the Primera Liga, bagging a decent 15 goals in 23 games. However, even the Benfica striker will not be cheap. Benfica have attached a £106m release clause to his contract, with the striker under contract until 2026.
