Manchester United has joined the race for Borussia Dortmund midfielder, Jude Bellingham and the Red Devils are prepared to break the British transfer record to seal the signing.
The midfielder is one of the hottest players on the planet and has found his way into the plans of the likes of Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester City.
However, BVB wants him to stay with them for one more season and the Germans are prepared to offer him a new deal and make him their highest earner.
But Bellingham hasn’t made a decision on his future and is focused on helping his present employers achieve success at the moment.
A report in The Telegraph says he is now a key target for Manchester United and the Premier League giants will break the bank to land him.
The most expensive player in Britain now is £106m Chelsea signing Enzo Fernandez, while Jack Grealish is the most expensive Englishman after moving to Manchester City for £100m.
However, the report says Dortmund will demand for at least £110 million for Bellingham, meaning a buyer will break the transfer record for a British player.
The midfielder is still just 19, but he is arguably one of the best at his job in the world now, so any club that adds him to their squad would have made a quality addition.
The increased competition for his signature will delight Dortmund because the Germans will hold out for the suitor that offers the most money.
