March 15, 2023

Liverpool has just been eliminated from the Champions League after losing 1-0 to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

The Reds were horrific in the first leg and lost 5-2 in front of their fans, which meant the return fixture in Madrid was going to be tough.

Under Jurgen Klopp, the Reds have pulled off some massive comebacks and fans thought they could do another in Madrid, but Los Blancos are the king of Champions League football.

In a very close contest, Karim Benzema’s goal separated both clubs as Liverpool tried all the tricks in their books, but could not find a goal.

The Reds also have their goalkeeper Alisson Becker to thank for some incredible saves in the first half, which kept the score respectable.

Statman Dave has now revealed Liverpool’s 6-2 aggregate loss to Madrid is the heaviest-ever loss by a team in the competition in a knockout game.
