Lionel Messi has taken his footballing skill beyond the field as his newly-opened restaurant, Hincha, serves customers a unique ‘Ballon d’Or’ dessert.
According to reports by Spanish publication AS via Sportskeeda, the Argentine superstar restaurant features his favourite dishes. Catalonian celebrity chef Nandu Jubany expertly crafts the meals.
The restaurant, named Hincha (meaning ‘fan’ in English), was opened to the public on March 16, 2023.
The restaurant is located on the first floor of the MiM Andorra Hotel located in Andorra, a tiny, luxurious, independent principality situated between France and Spain.
Hicha is notably the first Luxury Boutique by the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner and the Majestic Hotel Group.
The restaurant offers a variety of palatable dishes that combine Messi’s favourite foods from Argentina and Chef Nandu’s unique innovation. The dishes range from Japanese wagyu, priced at €390 per kilogram, to pizza at €15-29.
Messi’s restaurant also offers the finest wines and customised cocktails, selling for €15.
But the main attraction in the restaurant is the Ballon d’Or dessert which customers can get for €24. The dish is expertly crafted and replicates Lionel Messi’s achievement of winning seven, the most in football history.
Messi is not the only athlete that has ventured into the restaurant business. Fellow Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo also has a restaurant, while tennis star Rafael Nadal and Real Madrid Marco Asensio also have restaurants.
