“So many good moments together” – Lionel Messi sends message to Busquets after news of Barcelona exit

Lionel Messi has well wished his former teammate and good friend Sergio Busquets after the player announced that he would be leaving Barcelona at the end of the season.

Sergio Busquets has announced his farewell from Barcelona after gifting 18 precious years to the Catalans.

Busquets and Lionel Messi shared the space at Camp Nou for many years. 

So it would be suited for the World Cup winner to react to Sergio Busquets’ departure. Lionel Messi posted on his Instagram praising the Spanish international for being a good friend.

Messi said that Sergio might be 5 on the pitch (referring to his shirt number), but in life, he was always a 10.

“On the field always with the 5 but in reality as a player and as a person you are a 10, Busi,”

Lionel Messi also wished him the best of luck for his future,

“I wish you the best in your new stage and always, both to you and to your entire family.”

The 35-year-old thanked his dear friend at the end, for all the good memories they shared on the pitch and beyond.

“Thank you for on and off the pitch, there were so many moments we spent together, many good and some also complicated… They will stay forever!”

Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets won everything the game has to offer. The last of Barcelona’s legendary squad won the Champions League, Laliga, and several other domestic tournaments. 

Apart from the achievements the pair are close friends as well.

Sergio Busquets has been an important part of Barcelona’s midfield. Without him, Frenkie de Jong will take over that position and the pressure. In his classy Barcelona career, Busquets won 3 Champions League, 8 Laliga titles, and numerous other honors.
