Once again showing up big in a final game, Lionel Messi assisted his team in taking the lead. At Geodis Park on Saturday night for the Leagues Cup final versus Nashville SC, the Inter Miami star scored in the 23rd minute.
The Nashville defence was difficult for Tata Martino’s team to penetrate today, but the Argentine was able to reach the edge of the box and score a shocker. He effortlessly dribbled past two defenders and curled the ball past Elliot Panicco into the top-left corner.
Despite his best attempts, the Nashville goalkeeper could not stop the inch-perfect striker.

Lionel Messi scored his 37th goal overall in a Cup final for club and country. It was his 10th goal in his Inter Miami career thus far. Additionally, he scored in each of his seven appearances for the MLS team.
