Lionel Messi Puts On A MASTERCLASS Against Netherlands As Argentina Go Through On Penalties

Lionel Messi showed up big yet again and put on a show against Netherlands to inspire Argentina to a win in the quarter finals.

Lionel Messi had already scored three goals before the game started. However, this time, the Argentinian turned provider and put through a sublime ball to Nahuel Molina, who fired home 10 minutes before half-time.

Messi did not just stop there. He went on to score a penalty in the second-half before the Netherlands launched a stunning comeback, with Wout Weghorst scoring two late goals to send the game into extra-time.

The game shifted from one side to another in extra time. Just at the end of the second half, Argentina produced a couple of stunning opportunities but remained unlucky as the ball struck the pole. The game was to be decided on penalties.
