Lionel Messi is reportedly set to agree to a massive wage cut to rejoin Barcelona. The Argentine is set to be offered a one-year deal with an optional year to extend the contract, with €6-7 million in wages per season.
Lionel Messi has a contract offer from Barcelona, according to Jose Alvarez of El Chiringuito TV. They have faith that the attacker will make a comeback to Camp Nou after his PSG deal expires.
The Ligue 1 team’s option to extend Lionel Messi’s contract by another season expires in the summer, and the decision to do so is improbable. Although they were in contract negotiations, the champion of the FIFA World Cup is apparently leaning towards a move back to Spain.

According to Alvarez, the Catalan club will pay Messi €6-7 million per season. Only a few days prior, Gerard Romero reportedly stated that the Argentine was willing to accept a pay reduction in order to return to Camp Nou. On Twitch, he stated:
“Leo Messi is ready to take a pay cut and adapt to a salary in accordance with Barça’s situation. Laporta must have a face to face talk with him. Leo saw the fans at the Spotify Camp Nou chant his name last Sunday. People from the club who were not in favour of Messi’s return have understood that it would be a great financial boost.”
