Lionel Messi EQUALIZES Dani Alves record and becomes the ‘MOST DECORATED’ football player with 43 trophies

Superstar Lionel Messi of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has matched Barcelona icon Dani Alves’ record for the most awards in football history. 43 trophies have now been won by them both during their club careers.

The Argentine captain also surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo’s record (495) for most goals in Europe’s top five leagues. He now has 496 goals.

Following a 1-1 draw in the league match on Saturday (May 27) at Strasbourg, Paris Saint Germain claimed the Ligue 1 championship for the 11th time. Messi scored a goal for Christophe Galtier’s squad in the 59th minute.

The Argentine’s prize collection is continually upgraded. He has won the FIFA World Cup, the Copa America, three times in the UEFA Champions League, three times in the FIFA Club World Cup, ten times in La Liga, twice in Ligue 1, three times in the UEFA Super Cup, seven times in the Copa del Reys, eight times in the Ssupercopa de Espana, once in the French Super Cup, and once in the Finalissima.

Lionel Messi was instrumental in PSG’s Ligue 1 victory this year. In his 31 games this season, he has 16 goals and 12 assists.
