“The Best” – The time when Kylian Mbappe switched his GOAT between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo

May 24, 2023

It is well publicized that PSG superstar, Kylian Mbappe idolizes Cristiano Ronaldo. There are images that showcase the admiration Mbappe has for his childhood superstar.

This certainly proves why he so badly wants to sign for Real Madrid. Even though Kylian Mbappe has not publicly announced Cristiano as the greatest, his father certainly told the media that the former Real Madrid forward is ‘his idol’.

“He is a Real Madrid fan and his idol is Cristiano Ronaldo. He used to spend hours watching videos on the internet.”

Abdou Diallo, who played with Kylian Mbappe in both Monaco and Paris Saint Germain, shared an interesting story about the PSG star.

Diallo said that Mbappe admires Cristiano Ronaldo so much that he will debate you for an hour if you chose Messi over Ronaldo.

“If you mention Lionel Messi against Cristiano, Mbappe will debate with you for at least an hour. For him, Cristiano is untouchable.”

He also added: “Cristiano Ronaldo is literally everything to Kylian Mbappe.”

However, earlier this year, the 24-year-old switched his opinion as he chose his PSG teammate Lionel Messi. After the FIFA World Cup Qatar, Lionel Messi won the award for FIFA The Best Men’s Player.

Kylian Mbappe congratulated Messi via his Instagram post where he labeled the Argentine ‘The Best’,

“Another trophy at home. Big congratulations to (Lionel Messi) you are #TheBest.”

Both Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi are witnessing a transformation period. Lionel Messi is ready to leave PSG in the summer, while Mbappe will find new faces as the French club is desperate to build a new and stable team around the Frenchmen.
