Jude Bellingham ended his spell as a Borussia Dortmund player without winning the league, even though they felt they could have done it, but the midfielder is now set to join Real Madrid.
The Englishman was courted by the Spanish giant alongside the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City and he could have returned to England with the Reds, but they could not make the Champions League.
His departure has not been announced yet, but a report reveals the midfielder and his mother handed out goodbye gifts to players and staff at BVB after their final game of the campaign.
The report claims the former Birmingham City teenage star has said yes to Madrid and will become their next marquee signing, joining the likes of Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni at the club.
Madrid has renewed the deals of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric and continues to add new and younger midfielders to their squad. It seems clear they are working on a succession plan for the veterans already.
Bellingham is one of the world’s biggest talents and will guarantee them success in the long term as he is expected to sign a six-year deal with Los Blancos.
