The Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech landed in Paris on the deadline day in preparation for a loan deal without an option to purchase. With an agreement between the two clubs and Ziyech passing his medical, the transaction appeared to be a done thing.
Due to Chelsea allegedly sending the incorrect documentation to PSG THREE times, the transaction did not close before the deadline.
Paris Saint Germain have described Chelsea’s handling of the situation as a ‘class A circus’, a source told the Athletic.
Due to the technological difficulties, an appeal was filed, and PSG was confident that it would be accepted. However, it has now been determined that the changeover will not go place, and Ziyech has been left hanging.
Without a doubt, PSG is upset with itself for letting Pablo Sarabia join Wolves without bringing in a replacement.
🚨 Confirmed: PSG have lost their LFP appeal. Hakim Ziyech's loan move to PSG is officially off. Chances of success at the appeal were always deemed low. Ziyech was not registered on time last night. https://t.co/iOJBtBD8Fg

Hakim Ziyech joined Chelsea in 2020 for £33 million, and since then, he has played 98 times and scored 14 goals.
Although he had a fantastic World Cup with Morocco and assisted his nation in reaching the semi-finals in a fantastic competition, his last club goal came in March.
