Haaland wants to join Real Madrid in 2024

March 24, 2023

Real Madrid believes Erling Haaland wants to join them from Manchester City in 2024 as the Norwegian shines in England.

Haaland was highly sought-after in the summer when he left Borussia Dortmund, but he chose to move to City, where he now works with Pep Guardiola and has a contract that expires in 2027.

City is one of the top sides in the world and can probably pay him the highest wage he can imagine, but the Citizens do not have the pedigree of Madrid.

The Whites focused on signing Kylian Mbappe in the last transfer window. However, they could not pull it off after PSG found an agreement to keep the Frenchman.

It remains unclear if they return for Mbappe, but the European champions clearly have Haaland in their plans and will make an effort to bag the Norwegian.

A report on AS reveals Real Madrid believes Haaland wants to join them in 2024, and they will make it happen.

Although the striker and City have not said there is a release clause in his current agreement, the Whites believe he has one in his present contract, and it reduces every season.

The report claims Madrid is prepared to make Haaland the most expensive player in the world ever at £200m, which will eclipse the £198m PSG paid Barcelona to add Neymar to their squad.

Haaland was expected to struggle in the Premier League when he moved to England, but the Norwegian has made the English top-flight look very easy.

He is breaking all kinds of records in the competition and could become bored of scoring goals in the country soon, which might make him ask to leave for a new competition.

Madrid could then lineup with him and Kylian Mbappe in attack, which will be one of the most terrific combinations we will see.
