Georginio Wijnaldum transfer closed in by Barcelona
- Barcelona are closing in to sign Liverpool’s star midfielder Gini Wijnaldum.
- Barca boss Ronald Koeman wants the midfielder to join Barcelona and be a part of his plans.
Wijnaldum to Barcelona soon:
Gini Wijnaldum, 29, is a midfielder who has only one year remaining in the contract with Liverpool FC. He has been very influential in the Red’s road to success in Premier League as well as Champions League. At this point, it may very well seem like that the midfielder is not going to sign a contract extension with Liverpool.
Liverpool have a £15m asking price for Gini Wijnaldum this summer although Barcelona are hoping to pay around £10m. The Reds have resigned to the midfielder leaving as they don’t want him to go for free so a compromise will be reached, claims Mullock Mirror.
Barcelona look to sign Wijnaldum on the cheap, they are ready to offer £12M for him – Liverpool are in a weak bargaining position. With the dutch international almost certain to leave, the Anfield giants are finally expected to make their move for Thiago, according to Kelvin Palmer.
Liverpool know they have lost the battle to keep the Dutch midfielder. The club’s American owners will not contemplate him leaving for free next summer. And this departure should lead the way for Thiago to join the English Champions. (Mirror).
The midfielder’s agent set to agree personal agreement with the Catalans:
The agent of Gini Wijnaldum is reportedly close to agreeing a deal with Barcelona. The Reds midfielder continues to be linked with a move to the Nou Camp, and link up with former Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman.
According to Algemeen Dagblad, Wijnaldum’s agent is in talks with the La Liga giants over a possible move for the Dutchman this summer to Barcelona.
