Barcelona midfielder Gavi has sent a message to the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea, who are interested in a move for him at the end of this season.
The midfielder’s future is far from certain after La Liga cancelled his professional contract with Barcelona as they do not have the financial means to register him.
The Catalans are working to sort out the situation, but Gavi is now on a youth contract, which has attracted the attention of top clubs from around the continent already.
The midfielder is one of the finest talents around, and anyone who adds him to their squad would be benefiting from Barca’s problem, but does Gavi want to move?
After winning La Liga with Barcelona, he reiterated that he is playing for the club of his dream at the moment and will continue to do so if he gets that chance.
Gavi said via Sport Bible:
“This is the first title here, this is the club of my dreams — it’s Barca.
“I hope there will be many more.”
This would send a direct message to his suitors that he wants to remain in Catalonia and perhaps continue to win trophies in the colours of the Catalans.
