PSG superstar Lionel Messi has been advised by former Chelsea midfielder Emmanuel Petit to leave the French club as soon as possible.
The Frenchmen think that Messi has no respect in France. He says that due to the recent behavior of Paris fans against the Argentine, they don’t deserve him.
While speaking to Legal Sportsbook the Frenchman mocked the individuals who criticized Messi as he labeled the 7-time Ballon d’Or winner ‘football’.
“I’m sorry for all those people who have the courage to criticise Messi. But for me this guy is football.”
He praised Lionel Messi for choosing PSG after his fall out with Barcelona but was disappointed with the French fans who verbally abused Messi in his toughest moments.
“When he left Barcelona it was a big, big decision for him and his family. It took months for him to get set up in Paris, in the city and the club.”
Petit added: “But with everything that happened during the season with the fans and with the press and what happened at the end of last season when he was booed, along with Neymar, they were insulting his family.”
Emmanuel Petit encourages Lionel Messi to leave it all behind and move to another club at first.
“If I was Messi I would have left the club straight away. I’m not staying, thank you very much. No.”
