A young Vietnamese footballer had to be hospitalized after he injured himself while trying to copy Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous goal celebration.
One of the most influential football players in history is Cristiano Ronaldo. Several professional footballers, including millions of others, are fans of the Al-Nassr superstar. Several players have copied his renowned “Siuu” celebration throughout the years, in which he leaps, spins in midair, and lands bizarrely while yelling his battle cry.
However, not everyone has mastered the art of this celebration. Sadly, the physically taxing celebration converted the joy of a U-17 Vietnamese athlete into anguish. He raced to the touchline to mimic Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration after scoring in the U-17 Vietnamese Cup final.
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, his landing was awkward, which resulted in torn ligaments in his left knee.

At first, as he continued to celebrate and later attempted to walk it off, the forward did not realize the severity of his injuries. The athlete needed to be carried off the pitch after dropping to the ground when the adrenaline wore off. Medical professionals immediately attended to him before he was rushed off to the hospital where the extent of his injury was determined.
