This weekend would be interesting as we enter the last few weeks of the European league calendar, and it promises to be a packed weekend.

Manchester United and Manchester City will be in FA Cup action and there are a few exciting matches to look forward to in the Premier League.

But you do not have to worry because other European leagues have some exciting games you will not want to miss wherever you spend the weekend.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid

We start off in Spain where Barcelona can go twelve points clear if they win, and in their most recent meetings, it shows the Catalans could achieve that.

This has been an exciting season, but Barca has pulled clear of their other rivals, and the gap between them and Madrid will be wider if they win this game. Will Los Blancos let that happen?

Real Madrid has just dispatched Liverpool in the Champions League, and they are unbeaten in three matches, but Barca is the only club that has defeated them in their last five games.

Xavi Hernandez’s side has also won four of the last five head-to-heads between them. This game is a must-watch as Madrid attempts to stop the Catalans’ run.

Inter Milan vs Juventus

This Derby d’Italia is one of the most important in recent seasons as Juventus battles against a 15-point deduction in Serie A. This means the Old Lady must win their remaining games of the season to stand a chance of making even the Europa League places.

Inter is second on the league table, but from their spot to the fifth on the league table is close, so they must keep winning to remain inside the top four.

Juve won the last time these teams met and are on a three-game winning run, but Inter has only two wins from their last five competitive games and lost two of those games.

Lazio vs AS Roma

The Rome derby is one of the fiercest rivalries in Italian football, and this one is one of the most important it has been in years as both clubs chase a Champions League spot.

At the moment, just two points separate them on the league table, with Lazio sitting third and Roma in fifth, so a defeat for either side would be a big deal.

Lazio has lost none of their last four league games, although the most recent was a goalless draw against Bologna, but their form is better than Roma’s, who have just two wins from their last five league games.

PSG vs Rennes

Rennes has been one club that makes life difficult for PSG in France, and they defeated the defending champions in the reverse of this fixture.

This means this game is a match PSG knows they cannot lose, and they are not even in the right frame of mind after losing their Champions League tie against Bayern Munich.

Rennes has also won none of their last two games, but The Rennais has two wins and two losses from their last five head-to-head clashes with PSG, so they will approach this game with confidence, knowing they can get a win.

Manchester City vs Burnley

Burnley travels to Manchester City for this intriguing FA Cup game which sees Vincent Kompany return to the club that he made a name for himself in English football.

The former defender is having a superb spell as a manager of the Championship club and will get them promoted to the top flight after just a season as their boss.

However, this FA Cup game will be tough, and we expect City to win. But it will be great to see how the pupil will perform against the teacher as Pep Guardiola takes on Kompany.
