According to reports, Erling Haaland of Manchester City makes an astounding £11 million more than Lionel Messi of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The Norwegian striker earns £45 million per season from the Premier League champions, with incentives covering the majority of his salary.
As per a report in the Daily Mail, Erling Haaland’s weekly wages go up to £865,000 with the bonuses added to his contract. The Daily Mail added that the clauses are almost guaranteed for the striker at Manchester City.
One of the highest paid players at PSG, Lionel Messi makes £34 million annually. The Argentine is within striking distance of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, while the others are far behind.
After Manchester City triggered his release clause at Borussia Dortmund, Haaland was acquired for £51 million. Messi, on the other hand, left Barcelona without a new contract and signed with PSG on a free transfer.
