Erik Ten Hag confirms that Garnacho WILL PLAY again this season

Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has confirmed that injured winger Alejandro Garnacho will play again before this season ends.

The Argentinian has been a breakout star for United this campaign and just earned a call-up to the national team.

However, he picked up an injury in United’s 0-0 draw against Southampton and looked visibly in pain as he exited the field.

Ten Hag had initially played down the problem and believe it was not a serious one, but it seemed to be worse than he expected.

Some reports claim the attacker will miss the rest of this season, but Ten Hag is more optimistic and believes he will have his youngster back before the term ends and urges him to be ready to contribute.

The Dutchman said on Sky Sports: “I can’t say exactly (what the timescale is) at this moment but it will take weeks, so it’s a serious injury.”

Adding: “Now we have to step away from it but he will be back for the end of the season.

“So, what he has to do now is deal with it, deal with the setback and then work, invest to get back before the end of the season because (at the) end of the season, we can win a lot. So, he has to be ready to get back as soon as possible.”
