Football fans were left shocked after Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr announced that the famous sports brand Nike will be the club’s official kit supplier.
Cristiano Ronaldo was certainly true to his words. The Saudi Pro League might not be among the top leagues in the world yet, but it is well on its way.
Just in the past few months, the wealthy Asian league has attracted the likes of Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Nevez, Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy, and Marcelo Brozović.
While a number of players have agreed to personal terms and will be announced as official SPL players later this month.
Similarly with the help of Cristiano Ronaldo, other Saudi teams have stepped up to find lucrative sponsorship deals from the West.
Al Nassr rivals Al Hilal recently signed a deal with Puma as their official kit manufacturer. Now, Ronaldo’s Al Nassr has achieved a similar feat. The club announced just hours ago that they have landed a deal with Nike as an official kit supplier.
“We are delighted to announce Nike, as our official kit supplier for the 2023-24 season”
Cristiano Ronaldo, who himself has one of the biggest deals with Nike, might’ve played an anchoring role in making all this happen.
According to the club, Al Nassr’s partnership with Nike will be in full effect when they are on tour in Japan at the end of this month. In Japan, Al Nassr will play pre-season matches against Paris Saint Germain and Inter.
