Cristiano Ronaldo had a week full of criticism as Juventus were knocked out of the Champions League by Porto. However, the Portuguese superstar was full of determination and confidence. It looked like he was motivated to prove his haters wrong.
The Juventus striker rocked up at the Sardegna Arena on Sunday against Cagliari and opened the scoring inside 10 minutes with a trademark header. The ball was crossed into the box from the corner and Cristiano Ronaldo leaped high in the air and headed the ball into the net.
A few minutes later, the Portuguese legend stepped up to the penalty spot to net a second after goalkeeper Alessio Cragno fouled him.
In the 32nd minute, a third goal came from the foot of the striker and thus, he completed his hat-trick. The goal was a left-footed strike following some lovely work from Federico Chiesa to give the away side a comfortable lead and surely all three points.
After the win, Juventus remain third in the table and still ten points behind leaders Inter Milan.
