The title aspirations of Al Nassr were kept alive by Cristiano Ronaldo on Tuesday night as they overcame Al Shabab to win all three points.
With only two games left in the season, the 38-year-old’s spectacular goal shortly before the hour mark gave the team a 3-2 victory and kept them three points behind rivals Al Ittihad.
The former Manchester United striker looked to celebrate by performing a Sujud bow on the pitch, much to the delight of the Al Nassr supporters.
As you can see in the video below, Cristiano Ronaldo praised the Saudi Pro League in his post match interview, suggesting it will soon rank among the top five leagues in the world.

“We are much better and the Saudi league is getting better and next year will be even better,” the Al Nassr forward said in his post match interview.
“Step-by-step I think this league will be among the top five leagues in the world but they need time, players and infrastructure. But I believe that this country [has] amazing potential, they have amazing people and the league will be great in my opinion.”
The Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, and Ligue 1 are widely regarded as the top five leagues in the world.
The Chinese Super League and Major League Soccer also made significant investments in high-profile signings recently, but they still fell well short of overtaking any of them. It would take an enormous amount for the Saudi league to catch up to any of them.
