Will Cristiano Ronaldo be playing for Al-Nassr against Abha today in the Saudi Pro League?

March 18, 2023

On March 18 at Mrsool Park, Cristiano Ronaldo is anticipated to start Al-Saudi Nassr’s Pro League match against Abha. This will be the second time this week that Rudi Garcia’s team will play Abha.

During the week, the Riyadh-based team faced Abha in the King Cup of Champions quarterfinals. The result was a convincing 3-1 victory for them. Nonetheless, Cristiano Ronaldo did not contribute to scoring in the cup game and will be attempting to make up for it in the league game.

The Portuguese striker could be joined by Abdulrahman Ghareeb and Mohammed Maran in attack against Abha in the league. The “Knights of Najd” could have their top scorer Talisca back in the starting lineup as well.

The Brazilian forward has been injured for the past three league games. Nonetheless, he did take the place of the former Manchester United player for the final three minutes of Tuesday’s cup match against Abha.

Until they lost to Al-Ittihad the previous time, Al-Nassr was one of the league’s most in-form teams. They now hold the second-place spot in the standings, one point behind Al-Ittihad, with 46 points from 20 games played this season.

Whilst, Abha is ranked 12th on the standings. They have only obtained 23 points from their 20 games, and their current win less streak is five games.
