Fans humiliated Laliga champion Barcelona after a brutal defeat 3-1 by a threatening Real Valladolid.
Barcelona has not been themselves since the monumental win against Espanyol that helped Xavi and co. win the Laliga title. First, they were held at home against Real Sociedad and now faced an embarrassing defeat from Valladolid who are fighting to stay in the league.
Xavi played his best men, Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha upfront, Eric Garcia, Gavi, and Frankie de Jong in the middle, and then the back four consisting of Roberto, Balde, Alonso, and Christensen.
While it looked like a casual Laliga fixture where the Spanish giant controlled the possession as well as the shots, the tides quickly changed after an own goal from Andreas Christensen which put Real Valladolid in the lead.
Cyle Larin scored the second goal for Valladolid right at the 22nd-minute mark.
The third goal came from Gonzalo Plata who put the final nail in the coffin and diminished all hopes for Barcelona to return into the game.
Kudos to Real Valladolid’s defense that kept the team in the lead for most of the match.
Robert Lewandowski did try as he got one goal back in the 84th minute but the lead was too big for Barcelona to chase down.
The match ended with Barcelona trailing 3-1. Fans and foes of the Catalan took to Twitter to heat up the conversation, here are the best reactions.

There are still two matches left in Barcelona’s Laliga campaign. If they win both of them, they can get as high as 91 points in the league.
