Bernardo Silva is being lauded with praise by Manchester City fans after the 28-year-old showed his class in City’s 4-0 victory over Real Madrid.
It was a time of revenge for the Pep Guardiola side. Their last outing against Real Madrid was both heartbreaking and a massive step back.
But this time there were no loose ends in both City’s midfield and defense. This gave their forwards much-needed attacking confidence. One Manchester City forward that truly took the game from Madrid was Bernardo Silva.
The Portuguese winger took on the flawless Thibaut Courtois on two different occasions and succeeded on both of them.
Silva scored in the 23rd and 37th minutes making it difficult for Madrid to stay defensive.
In the 2nd half, Real Madrid showed intent, but that also meant that they were vulnerable in defense. An unfortunate own goal by Eder Militao took the game away from Madrid. The Argentine Julian Alvarez ended things after scoring the 4th goal of the night for City.
