After winning the Bundesliga championship, Bayern Munich reportedly fired CEO Oliver Kahn and director Hasan Salihamidzic (via Fabrizio Romano). For the eleventh season in a succession, the Bavarians dramatically won the title of German champions.

They overcame FC Koln 2-1 thanks to goals from Kingsley Coman and Jamal Musiala. Borussia Dortmund, on the other hand, missed the opportunity to win the Bundesliga because they were only able to draw with FSV Mainz.

Jan-Christian Dreesen has taken over for Kahn, although the club has not yet announced Salihamidzic’s replacement. The announcement comes shortly after Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga championship, yet elsewhere, they have failed to impress elsewhere.

Herbert Hainer, the chairman of Bayern Munich’s advisory board, said: “The decision to separate from Oliver Kahn was anything but easy for the Supervisory Board. Nevertheless, due to the overall development, we have come to the decision to make a new appointment at the top of the Management Board. We would like to thank Oliver Kahn for his commitment, his ideas and for everything we have achieved together. He will always be a big personality at FC Bayern. We wish him all the best for the future.”
