Barcelona are reportedly considering making an offer worth €45 million for Brazilian teenager Vitor Roque.
According to a report by GOAL, the 18-year-old Brazilian is attracting interest from the La Liga side, who, despite their financial uncertainty, are said to be prepared to submit a massive offer for the forward who is currently starring up front for Athletico Paranaense in Brazil.
Roque has scored seven goals and laid on three assists in all competitions for Paranaense this term. His form has alerted the biggest European clubs, including Barcelona’s Real Madrid rivals. But the Catalan side are said to be the most keen on the teenager.
However, Xavi’s men may have to sell some players or reduce their wage bill to afford Roque.
With Sergio Busquets’ summer exit already confirmed, a few others could join him in exiting Camp Nou. In addition, the club could sell Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres; two players, who are among the high-profile forwards that may depart as Barca attempts to balance their books.
Meanwhile, the Spanish giants are still working on a special arrangement that will allow them to sign Lionel Messi this summer. They have submitted a proposal to La Liga but still await a guarantee from the league that they can re-sign the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner and to make further signings, such as Roque.
