Argentina have released a special Christmas advertisement which shows a young boy discovering the World Cup trophy underneath his Christmas tree. The advert thanks Lionel Messi and claims that the most precious gift, the World Cup, is already at home.
Argentina won the FIFA World Cup in Qatar for a third time in their history, after a brilliant tournament by Lionel Messi.
After the win, the national team promptly returned to millions of joyous fans in Buenos Aires to parade the trophy.
In the video, the wide-eyed young boy can be seen rushing down the stairs before he is mesmerized by a huge gift wrapped up in red ribbons. He carefully unravels it and opens the box – at which point he is greeted with the World Cup trophy.
In utter disbelief, he picks up the trophy and exclaims ‘Gracias Papa Noel’ before kissing it.

Alongside the video posted on social media, the caption said: ‘Thank you Papa Lionel’.
