BREAKING: Alejandro Garnacho joins Lionel Messi, Enzo Fernandes, and others in the latest Argentina squad

May 27, 2023

Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho has been called up to the Argentina national team for their next international matches following his superb season for the English club.

The attacker is emerging as one of the key players for his club under Erik Ten Hag and was supposed to be named in the senior Argentina squad in the last window, but he was injured.

Reports had suggested he would be out for the rest of the season, but he has now returned to the pitch sooner than expected.

United denied him the chance to compete for his country at the U20 World Cup going on in Argentina, but he has been rewarded for his progress with a chance to make his debut for the senior Albiceleste side.

The World Cup winners are billed to partake in a tour of Asia during the international window and will play  Australia in Beijing and Indonesia in Jakarta.
